Extra Runway...
As our Club grows, David is constantly training new pilots and he is requesting an extension of the runway. We have had Ducted Fan Jets take of but they need more runway. Also, while flying at the club site, the wind changes direction often and it would be good to have an east-west runway, possible at the south end of the long runway. The approach from the east is do-able according to David. Attached is a quote from a popular material used by many RC AMA clubs. This is a 15 ft x 300 ft sized runway piece. We could use at least one and maybe two to meet our runway needs. Review this and talk about it with other members. Perhaps, some of the more affluent members could donate extra money or we start a fund for 1 or 2 rolls of the material.
