Paradise ALES/Winch contest
6 people are coming tomorrow. 2 or 3 more would be great. Forecast is looking better. 90 degrees and 7 mph winds.
We’ll have coolers with water and soda on Ice. I‘ll Also bring a couple of extra neck coolers if you get a little warm.

Next Saturday the 22nd is looking good for another Paradise ALES fun fly contest. I have new landing tapes that are per ALES rules, 10M marked from 5 to 50 points in 1M increments.
Also I have modified and set up the scoring to be as follows:
Simple scoring: One point per second is awarded up to the target time and a negative one point per second for surpassing that time. The landing bonus points are added to the flight score AFTER the “time” score is normalized to 1,000, to get the round score.
Pilots meeting at 9:45a, first flight at 10am.
Launch height will be 150m. Flight tasks will be 5 min, 10 min, 10 min, 10 min, 10 min, 5 min. We’ll do more if time allows.
1st, 2nd and last place awards. Jim and Anne earned the 1st and 2nd place at the last Paradise ALES contest. Let’s see if Lee and Art (or someone else) can knock them off the winner’s podium.
