General Discussion

I was shopping in Walmart this week when I saw a 10 x 20 carport on Sale for $99. I am going to double check to see if this is the fabric only, frame only or both. It caused me to do some research and I found Tool-Lots has a heavy duty frame similar to what we have at the main site. A 10 x 20 Canopy system could serve 2-3 cars each and I propose 2 complete sets of 10 x 20 ft canopies down by the runways. Setup in the Shade makes it easier to enjoy the day of flying and the current arrangement has the strip too far from the current shaded areas.

I have included an attachment of the Walmart snapshot of the sale item and page 2 of other vendors similar to what we already have. I worry that the Walmart item may not be rugged enough to stand up to the wind and weather. ToolLots seems to be more in line to what we currently have.

Review this information and maybe people in the club might donate extra money for this project or we might set aside a fund for these items. Having shade close to the flying areas make our club more inviting to visitors and new members. It is the little things that may help our club to grow. My next thought is tables...but that is for another time..
