MCSS Combat Challenge (Eagle Butte)

The annual combat challenge are hugely popular.  Approximately 40 pilots from Portland Area Soaring Society, Seattle Area Soaring Society, Inland Empire Quiet Flyers, and our host for the event, the Mid-Columbia Soarers, meet at Kiona or Eagle Butte on Saturday morning and engage in light hearted attempts to knock each other out of the sky.

In years past this event has been promoted as an us versus them event. But usually turns into just a great big gaggle of models vainly attempting to hit other models.

For insurance coverage you must be a member of the MCS and AMA and have signed a waiver to participate. You will need to join MCS the day of the event. Cost is very in-expensive.

The 2008 event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 22 & 23: Info maps and times here

Before you leave, make sure to READ THE RULES!
