August 16th & 17th, 2008 at the Paradise Flying Field Spokane, WA NEFI 2008 Planning is under way... Thanks to success in 2007, we have secured a permanent club field and we're looking forward to hosting NEFI at the new larger site for 2008! This will be much more than a "fly what you brung" fun fly. The event is modeled after large electric events such as SEFF, with vendors, raffles, door prizes, awards, and demonstrations by world class pilots. And there will be lots of free flying time, as well. Camping is available on site. There are currently no connections or water on site. Tents, RV's, and Campers are all welcomed. What Fly-In would be complete without prizes??? Venders from all across the industry have donated prizes for the "Massive Raffle" Literally thousands of dollars of R/C equipment will be given away to all! This is a large format event, that encompasses sailplanes, giant scale electrics, hotliners, electric helicopters, as well as conventional foamies, parkflyers, and sport planes. The event will be held at the Paradise Flying Field. Miles of surrounding farm land allows for unobstructed flying as far as you can see. The massive central charging station, radio impound, and registration will be under our 20’ x 30’ circus tent. One of the best parts of the event is the Noon time airshow, featuring top competition pilots from all aspects of the hobby. This airshow is all encompassing of the modern hobby, and will showcase jets, giant scale gas, pylon racers, performance F3J tasks, and 3D Heli demos. We are looking forward to a large spectator crowd from our advertising on local radio, TV, and print media. Plan to attend the Longhorn BBQ Dinner on Saturday night. $15 will get you one delicious, fun time! Pilots will need to be registered in order to fly. Register for $15 day/ $25 for weekend.
