Chuck-Up (A Hand launch Fun Contest)

Last year (2002), Shaun Hawley gathered a group of HLG enthusiasts to a unique day of competition. Shaun called it "Chuck-Up" and those who participated declared the event a great success. It took some persuasion, but Shaun agreed to hold a second annual Chuck-Up.

Competition consists of four separate components:

1) Black Out: Attempt to complete four flights each of 15, 30, 60, and 120 seconds.

2) Hang Ten: Fly the longest flight you can within a 10 minute window. No limit on attempts.

3) Yo-Yo's: Catch and release your glider as many times as you can in a ten minute window (maximum 25 catches)

4) Add 'em Up: Fly continuously increasing flight times. Credit is given only for flights longer than the previous flight, starting with a 15 second minimum flight.
